Who Do Treehouse Republic Love?
5th Aug 2015
Over the past few weeks we’ve talked about our favourite things to animate and the projects that have really stood out for us. Today, we’re showing some love to the work of some of our favourite animators; some will be familiar, some might be new names to a few of you but trust us - they are all amazing! Set aside a few minutes and check out our recommendations, it’s by no means a definitive list so if you think we missed anyone don’t be shy - let us know!
Stephen, Managing Director
Tom Caulfield, a friend of mine, we went to school together before college but he’s always been one of the most talented animators out there in my book
I am not going to mention anyone else because there have been so many talented animators come through our doors that I’d be afraid I might have missed someone.
Dale, Operations Manager
I love traditional animation on a whole, there are some stunning 3D animations out there but hand drawn animation holds a special place for me. The top movies I can watch time and again from an analytical point of view would have to be Disney’s Tarzan and Dreamworks Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, the soundtrack in both movies is awful, unless you're a Bryan Adams\ Phil Collins fan (do they even exist?) but I could mute them and watch happily forever. All of the fight sequences in the animated DC movies are awesome! Batman the Red Hood has some mind blowing sequences in there, no need to mute here!
Graham, Creative Director
From a pure animation point of view I still am a Glen Keane fanboy, I will always be a Glen Keane fanboy.
Kev, Technical Director
Not too sure.
Patrick, Art Director
Joe, Animator Extraordinaire
The most impressed I have been with animation as of late has got to be The Boxtrolls. Just stunning stuff. And the way they credit themselves at the end was genius too Any stop motion animator seems to be worth their salt.

I am loving the tv show Steven Universe at the moment.
