WHY THE GAME DEVELOPERS CONFERENCE IS AWESOME!
25th Jun 2014
Normally I’m talking about about techie programming things, well... not all the time, but a lot of the time I am! This week I’d like to shed a little bit of light on The Game Developers Conference which is actually coming up very soon in San Francisco.
This is really good for people in the industry to see what are the new trends that gamers want as well as the ones being pushed by the big manufacturers. It appeals to all level of developers from hobbyist up to super hero type!
But this year it’s going to be really good because of the recent release of the next gen consoles PS4 and XBOX ONE. Speakers at the event are going to go over the visual art style from the upcoming Halo successor Destiny and how the users will be able to customise characters!!
There is also a classic game postmortems were successful / veteran game developers go through the design and mechanics and explain why most of them are still awesome.
There are also lots of career workshops, tutorials and playgrounds for developers to go and make friends too. But in essence it brings arts and technology together in one brilliant innovative surrounding.
